The 10th edition of the classic season-opener on the Canarian Vulcan island Gran Canaria will offer a great and challenging new route.
From 3rd to 6th April 2014 bikers from all over Europe will get a chance to enjoy a 4 day program.
The 3 day mountain bike stage race showed Gran Canaria in all its different shapes and confirmed the the island's title "miniature continent".
Due to technical problems and safety reasons the point to point track on Friday, April 5th, had to be changed to a circular course near St. Brigida.
Now the news have spread: after 8 successful years, the Open MTB Marathon Gran Canaria is ready to grow...
The next bike festival will be celebrated from 4th to 7th of april, one week after easter will be the center of europe's bikers. There will be 4 days of pure worldclass mountainbiking.
On the last weekend of March, the Bike Festival Gran Canaria invited bikers from all over Europe to open this year's season with best weather conditions for the first races.
The 8th Open MTB Marathon takes place on March 24th at Grand Canaria
Following tradition, the 7th Open MTB Marathon took place on March 26th 2011 in Maspalomas, introducing the racing season for Europe's hobby and elite cyclists.
The 2 long distances of the OPEN MTB race will count for the O2 Bikers Marathon Challenge
At our seven-year itch Marathon Open MTB Gran Canaria will take place again in Maspalomas.
